Barber II Program
Course Curriculum & Requirements
In order to obtain a barber II license, a student must complete at least 7 months or 1140 hours of training. Each student must obtain 190 total hours of theory training in the following curriculum before the student is allowed to render clinical services:

Classroom theory - (50 hours)

Hair & Scalp treatments, shampooing, & conditioning - (25 hours)

Shaving - (25 hours)

Hair cutting & styling - (70 hours)

Facial Hair Design & Waxing - (20 hours)
Once the student has completed 190 hours in the above curriculum, the student is then prepared to progress to the clinic floor to perform clinical services (950 practical hours) on live subjects. The curriculum will consist of the following :

Practical Theory - (200 hours)

Hair styling techniques & cutting - (500 hours)

Shaving - (25 hours)

Shampooing - (5 hours)

Facial Hair design & waxing - (10 hours)

Scalp treatment techniques - (10 hours)
-
Additional instructions (at discretion of instructor) - (200 hours)
